Information we collect
Ride requests may include your name, email address, phone number, pickup and drop-off addresses, requested date and time, trip type, passenger count, and special requests. We calculate and store route distance, driving time, and an estimate when available. Contact messages include the name, email, and message you submit.
How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, prepare and manage ride requests, check availability, calculate estimates, communicate booking updates, provide the private ride-tracking page, and protect the site from abuse. Booking details may be placed on the operator’s ride calendar and used to send confirmation and status emails.
Service providers
The site and database are hosted by a hosting provider. For route estimates, our server sends addresses to OpenStreetMap Nominatim and coordinates to OSRM. If configured, Google Calendar processes availability and ride events; its public embed is intended to show busy/free status only, not event details. Google Fonts and the calendar embed may connect your browser to Google and expose technical information such as your IP address and browser details to that provider. We do not sell personal information or use advertising or analytics trackers.
Private tracking links
A ride confirmation email may contain a private tracking link. Anyone who has that link can view limited ride information, such as status, schedule, and route. The link token itself is not stored in the database; only its hash is stored. Keep the link private.
Cookies and similar technologies
A necessary session cookie is created only when a feature such as form security or the admin session needs it; it expires when the browser session ends and uses HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and Secure on HTTPS. The site does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Google Calendar, when embedded, may use its own cookies under Google’s policies.
Data retention
The application currently has no automatic deletion schedule. Ride and contact records are kept as needed to handle requests, operate the service, meet business or legal obligations, and protect the system. You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion; some records may need to be retained for legitimate operational or legal reasons.
Security
We use access controls and technical safeguards, including HTTPS in production and hashed tracking tokens. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
